Technoblazer is an independent music site and record label. Everything here is run by us. For anything about your data, write to recordsblazer@gmail.com.
What we measure
Analytics only, and only if you accept it: Google Analytics 4. It records which pages are viewed, how you arrived, the type of device and browser, approximate location (city level, derived from the IP address with anonymisation on) and interactions such as scrolling or clicking an outbound link to Beatport or to a ticket page. We use it to understand which pages get read and which playlists get used.
No advertising, no profiling, no selling or sharing of your data with anyone beyond Google as our analytics provider.
Cookies, and what happens if you refuse
- If you accept: Google Analytics sets two cookies,
_gaand_ga_73EKY2E4PS, to tell visitors and sessions apart. They expire after 13 months. - If you refuse: no Google script is loaded at all, no analytics cookie is written, and nothing about your visit is measured. Your choice is remembered on your device (in browser storage, not in a cookie) so the banner does not come back on every page.
Two things outside our control that you should know about. The players on this site are Spotify embeds: when you press play, Spotify can set its own cookies and process your data under Spotify's own policy. The typography is loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address reaches Google when a page loads, before any consent choice is involved.
Why we are allowed to
Your consent, which you give from the banner and can take back at any time. In Swiss and EU terms that is the FADP transparency duty and the GDPR/ePrivacy rule that non-essential cookies wait for a yes. Nothing analytics-related runs before that yes.
Changing your mind
Reset my cookie choice — the banner comes back and the next page you open will not load analytics unless you accept again. You can also clear site data in your browser settings or block cookies there; the site keeps working either way.
Where the data lives, and for how long
The site itself is served by Vercel and the pages are static files. Analytics data sits in Google Analytics, retained for 14 months by default, and we look at it in aggregate: totals and trends, not individual visitors. Google may process this data outside Switzerland and the EU under its own safeguards.
